Moving your Website to ServuPro in 3 Easy Steps:
First, choose the platform (ie. Windows vs. Linux) and hosting plan that will suit your needs best.
During the signup process, you'll be asked whether you wish to register or transfer your domain name for FREE.* You can also choose to edit the nameserver settings for your domain if you wish to keep your domain registered elsewhere.
Upload the website data to our servers, using the instructions you receive in your Welcome Email.
Keep in mind that DNS propogation can take a few days or longer (depending on the region of the world the user is connecting from), so we recommend you do not close the acccount with your existing web host until after you're confident that your domain resolves properly. During this waiting period you may need to check your email on both host's mail servers; when you no longer receive email on the previous host's server, chances are you can close the account without any problems.
What is DNS propogation?
It is the process where older data cached in DNS records is refreshed with current information, such as the nameservers for a domain name.
